Jonathan Smith

Earth 911 President

Jonathan is a nationally recognized expert on message management, cause marketing and grassroots activism. A highly sought after speaker, Smith has presented to more than half a million people across America on topics ranging from leadership to customer service and online business trends. His Communicating CauseTM training series is used by clients in 35 states including corporate leaders, political figures, activists, and back-to-back Miss Americas.

As a political consultant, Jonathan has crafted message and media for more than 50 campaigns. An innovator in new media strategies for powerful grassroots and cause marketing, his clients include utilities, trade associations and medical foundations.

Jonathan has earned numerous awards including being named 2002 “Communicator of the Year” by Oklahoma Living. In 2004, the U.S. Department of Energy selected Smith’s WindWorksTM program as its Wind Powering America Campaign of the Year. His work has been listed on America’s Entrepreneur 500 and featured in the Oklahoma Journal Record, Entrepreneur Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal.

Jason Ayers

Chief Technology Officer

Jason has over 14 years of experience in corporate and client services as a usability expert and software developer. He has owned and operated Manmade Software and Ovum Design, Phoenix-based consulting companies specializing in usability for interactive software.

Jason serves as lead for technology and development innovations for both the Earth 911 site and the recycling search engine. He is also focused on the international expansion of the Earth 911 and 1-800-CLEANUP recycling locator search.

Karl Zeidler

Director of Finances & Controller

Karl has over 27 years of experience as a Controller and financial executive, serving in these roles with companies including World Capital, LLC, visitalk.com, ProductExpress.com, Inc and Halmar Construction Co. He was also the Business Manager for Wadsworth Golf Construction Co. in Phoenix, and before that served as the Chief Financial Officer for Phoenix holding company Reliance Group, Inc.

Karl was Controller for Halmar Construction Co., Mount Vernon, New York, a heavy and highway construction company in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting from Farleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, New Jersey.
